The HBCU football transfer portal took another interesting turn Wednesday evening.
Zae Teasett, a redshirt freshman who saw significant time for SWAC West champion Southern this past season, announced he will be transferring to in-state rival Grambling on X, formerly known as Twitter.

Teasett, part of a trio of QBs the Jaguars used in 2024, competed in 10 games, completing 71 of 129 passes for 941 yards and six touchdowns against two interceptions. He also rushed 39 times for 122 yards and a touchdown.
Teasett joins a quarterback room that currently has redshirt sophomore Ashton Frye and true freshman Deljay Bailey, who each saw action for the Tigers in 2024.
Starting quarterback Myles Crawley, the 2024 SWAC preseason player of the year, is NFL draft-eligible.
