Halle Berry is a prime example of when bad hair happens to good people. The stunning actress keeps her ears and eyes on social media and is well aware of fan scrutiny of her wigs, particularly the curly wig she wore in the 2013 The Call movie. Berry trolled us all by hosting a “distressed wigs” screening for her new film Never Let Go.
Berry took to social media wearing her infamous The Call wig as she walked into a screening Never Let Go. She captioned the clip, “My fans SHOWED UP and SHOWED OUT! You guys have been jokingly “dragging” me for years about these wigs so we thought we’d have a little fun by hosting a few Wig Screenings for #NeverLetGo This was so much fun and the wigs were hilarious. I appreciate all the love!”

Berry wasn’t alone in her distressed wig. The invite for the screenings in New York and Atlanta encouraged guests to also come in their best distressed wigs. “Wear a bob. Wear 50 inch Brazilian. Bring a pussycat wig. Bring any wig as long as its DISTRESSED,” it read.
The invite noted, Halle is also us another movie with kids she’s trying to keep alive and wigs she’s distressing to death” but this time make it horror. According the film’s IMDB page, Never Let Go is about “A family that has been haunted by an evil spirit for years. Their safety and their surroundings come into question when one of the children questions if the evil is real.”
In a recent interview, Berry touched on her distressed 2013 wig, saying, “They ride me hard about my wigs – I know. But that’s ok,” she joked.
Never Let Go hits theaters Friday, September 20.
