Deion Sanders hasn’t forgotten where he came from.
The former Jackson State football coach recently appeared on “Good Morning America” and acknowledged how his old school helped propel his rise within the collegiate game.
“They (Jackson State) looked out for me,” Sanders told GMA host and Jackson State alum Demarco Morgan. “Without Jackson State, there would be no Prime, trust me.”

Sanders, who is now the head coach at Colorado, was at JSU from 2020-22. He went 27-6 with the Tigers, including winning two SWAC championships before leaving at the end of the 2022 season for Colorado.
