New Music Roundup (November 18

1. Harrison Lipton – On My Own

Source:Harrison Lipton

Today, Brooklyn-based musical jack-of-all-trades Harrison Lipton releases his cheeky new breakup anthem “On My Own” via Amuse. The facetious, 70s-inspired dad rock song uses the all too familiar coping mechanism of poking fun at inherent sadness to make it through the day. His voice full of smooth earnestness, Lipton ushers listeners towards the greener grass on the other side — Stream

“The song started in a small bedroom studio in Carroll Gardens during a session with Aidan Ludlam of the booyah! kids, who uses lyrics like an impressionist painter uses paint,” shared Lipton. “He helped me balance the dissonance between being dumped and finding how to be okay with it.”

Shot on 16 mm film, today’s official music video was directed by Yishen Wang. An ode to the city and people of New York, Lipton finds himself lost in a sea of recognizable faces, even Times Square’s Naked Cowboy — Watch

Fresh on the heels of landing songwriting and production credits for indie-rock sensation Yot Club and Atlantic Records six-piece MICHELLE, among others, Lipton has made a name for himself as a rapidly ascending, go-to creative collaborator. His recent work as a songwriter and producer has earned him shoutouts in HYPEBEAST, The Line of Best Fit, and Sirius XM’s Life with John Mayer.

Now with the focus shifted to his own releases, Lipton unveiled “Synchronized Swimming,” with its captivating accompanying music video, back in September. Exploring romance coyly nestled within the metaphor of synchronized swimming, listeners witness Lipton’s proven songwriting and production talent in raw form. Complete with dusty piano, laid-back Khruangbin-like drums, and an underwater guitar solo, the final touch is the perfect pairing of background vocals from MICHELLE’s Layla Ku.

“On My Own” keeps building the world “Synchronized Swimming” started, putting forth a distinctly clean and modernized late 70s aesthetic.

2. EST Gee – Go

Source:EST Gee

Today, Louisville hip-hop artist EST Gee unveils brand new single “GO”. Razor sharp and unflinching, the track showcases Gee’s no-holds-barred edge that fans have come to expect. Stream “GO” HERE via CMG / Interscope Records. Watch official music video HERE.

Focusing on the realist side of Southern Rap, EST Gee authentically documents day-to-day life in Louisville, Kentucky, incorporating trap and other contemporary variants of the genre. After developing a unique style on several self-released mixtapes, EST Gee released his debut studio album I Never Felt Nun in 2022 via Yo Gotti’s Collective Music Group (CMG). I Never Felt Nun featured a collection of tense street raps with occasional dips into melody provided by superstar guest collaborations including Future and Jack Harlow. The album reached No. 8 on the Billboard 200 and marked his 3rd Billboard Top 10 album.

Gee’s string of successful releases dates back to 2021 with his acclaimed mixtape, Bigger Than Life Or Death which reached No. 7 on the Billboard 200 chart, captured the No. 1 spot on Apple’s All-Genre chart and elevated his career to the next level. In 2021 he also collaborated with Lil Baby, Young Thug, Lil Durk and many more, received MAJOR co-signs including Jay-Z and Drake, performed on Jimmy Kimmel Live! with fellow Louisville rapper, Jack Harlow, and garnered praise from Complex, who named him “One of the Best Rappers in Their 20’s”, The New York Times, who crowned BTLOD one of “Best Albums of 2021” and topped Rolling Stone’s Breakthrough 25 Chart. The Louisville native reached a new career milestone in Oct. 2022, when he shined during his first-ever, nationally-televised performance at the BET Hip-Hop Awards alongside Jeezy. He also delivered on his collaborations, cracking the Billboard Hot 100 with fiery verses on Future’s “CHICKENS” and Lil Baby’s “Back and Forth.” Gee has cemented himself as one of the top rising artists in the game and, as we like to call him, “your favorite rapper’s, favorite rapper.”

3. Nym Lo & 183rd – Money Ink Millionaires

Source:NYM LO

Harlem rapper Nym Lo and producer 183rd released the new EP, Money Ink Millionaires, today via MNRK Urban. Produced by 183rd, Money Ink Millionaires highlights Nym Lo’s boom-bap style and features Benny the Butcher on the track “Off the Hustle.”

Nym Lo says, “Ain’t no gimmicks or no scandals with me. I didn’t get shot up, I didn’t go to jail, and I’m not beefing with dudes for notoriety. This is just me and my dog, 183rd, getting fly, getting icy, and getting money. We making this music for guys like us… Welcome to Money Ink!”

4. The Ivy – Every Little Ladder

Source:The Ivy

Rising indie-pop duo The Ivy share their captivating new single, “Every Little Ladder,” out on all streaming platforms today. Known for their distinct blend of dreamy synth-pop, lo-fi textures, rock riffs, and R&B-inspired grooves, the Tulsa-based duo—composed of singer/guitarist Wyatt Clem and synth player/bassist Shawn Abhari—has crafted a sound that’s both deeply nostalgic and refreshingly unique.

Written in Los Angeles with acclaimed songwriter Sam Beresford (Winnetka Bowling League, Losboycrow, Gatlin), The Ivy’s latest single, “Every Little Ladder,” is a feel-good anthem of hope and ambition. Showcasing their knack for creating dynamic yet utterly catchy indie-pop, the song captures the essence of small-town dreams and the desire to climb out and reach for something greater.

Wyatt and Shawn elaborate: “‘Every Little Ladder’ is an anthem of chasing a bigger life while capturing themes of growing up in a quaint, humble environment where everyone’s lives seem to mirror each other in familiar, unchanging ways.”

The Ivy is the brainchild of Tulsa-based musicians and producers Wyatt Clem and Shawn Abhari, who first crossed paths at The Academy of Contemporary Music in Oklahoma City. Their instant creative spark ignited a journey of relentless experimentation and sonic boundary-pushing. Since that fateful meeting, Wyatt and Shawn have honed a sound that’s as fresh as it is addictive, blending sharp songwriting with innovative production.

They made their debut as The Ivy in 2017 with viral singles like “Gold” and “Have You Ever Been In Love.” Building on this momentum, they went on to release three EPs and their 2024 debut album, A Door Still Open, solidifying their place as one of indie-pop’s most compelling acts. Enchanting audiences with their high-energy live performances, they’ve headlined their own US tour, co-headlined with DBMK, and shared stages with acts like Grayscale, The Band CAMINO, and LANY.

Poised for indie-pop stardom, The Ivy is crafting soundtracks for dreamers and thrill-seekers alike. With “Every Little Ladder,” Wyatt and Shawn reaffirm their status as Tulsa’s most exciting musical export—ready to take on the world, one indie-pop anthem at a time.

5. Chatham Rabbits – Collateral Damage

Source:Chatham Rabbits

Sarah McCombie, one half of Americana duo Chatham Rabbits alongside her husband Austin, is tired of the notion that it’s one or the other; a career or a family, a dream or relationships. “As a woman in her thirties, I am reaching big moments in my career, but I’m just a few years shy of what is considered a geriatric pregnancy,” she says. “How messed up is that? I want to have a badass touring career and keep taking risks, find ways to be deeply creative, and have meaningful relationships, but I also want to have a kid—all without maternal leave, less than desirable healthcare, and a country in which politicians have more say of my body than I do.”

Today, Glide Magazine premiered, “Collateral Damage,” a meditation on what it means to try to do both in this day and age and the toll it takes chasing it all at once from Chatham Rabbits’ upcoming LP, Be Real With Me. “How do we harness our desires without wreaking havoc along the way?” McCombie asks. “The older I get, the more I care about having it all while simultaneously realizing that in order to do that, I’m probably going to have to ruffle some feathers along the way.” “It’s all been coming to me lately, the time I have for it is fading,” she sings in the galloping, clawhammer banjo-driven verses of “Collateral Damage” with an unapologetic longing. A well-executed demonstration of recognizing all emotions and desires at once and being able to articulate the whole of it, “Collateral Damage” is also a heads-up to those around her, “this is my goal, and I’m going to make it work,” an empowering message to anyone who’s felt the need to fit themselves into one box or the other.

“I want it all, I want it fast,

I want my youth and luck to last,

My problem to solve, my paradox to manage,

I’ll make you collateral damage”

Fans can stream or purchase “Collateral Damage” today at this link, hear Chatham Rabbits’ previously released single, “Matador,” here, and pre-order or pre-save Be Real With Me ahead of its Valentine’s Day release right here. Chatham Rabbits hit the road again on February 12th for the Be Real With Me tour. A full list of dates can be found below or at chathamrabbits.com/tour.

About Be Real With Me: Due out on February 14th, 2025, Be Real With Me is more than the vows, banjos, and vintage dresses Chatham Rabbits might have been known for previously. The music can speak for itself, but Sarah is happy to share a little insight into their process and progress. “We got married so young,” she says. “We are simply not the same people we once were because playing music for a living has consumed and transformed us. This lifestyle has presented us with exhausting tour schedules, vulnerable songs that force us to talk about our marriage, difficult business decisions, and the ever-complicated dilemma of mixing art and money and friends and employees.” The result is a universal reckoning with responsibility and growth; two real people spending their lives and careers together and collectively facing the ups and downs of it all.

And fans will hear that growth in the music as well. “We’ve never been a bluegrass band, but being from NC we cannot ignore the regional influences all around us,” says Austin. “We sampled organic tones and manipulated them into synth pads and percussive elements on this record. It feels like a natural progression because the foundational components of our music are still there, we’ve just added to it.” Written post-pandemic by Sarah and Austin and recorded over a two year period at the Studio at Small Pond Farm, in Pittsboro, North Carolina, Be Real With Me was co-produced by Austin McCombie and the band’s longtime collaborator, Saman Khoujinian (The Dead Tongues, Lou Hazel). On this album, fans will still hear Sarah’s banjo, but right along with it are things like a drum machine, synthesizer, and pedal steel. But it’s the self-reflecting, earnest lyrics that show the most growth from the McCombies.

6. Aminé – s2wik

Source:Aminé

Today, Aminé shares two singles “s2wik” and “Wingz” featuring Cardo Got Wingz. The two new tracks arrive on the heels of “Passenger Princess” with Smino and “Adam,” both of which were released in October, the four tracks come together to form the rapper’s new EP .mp.3s.

Despite the October releases representing his first official musical releases of the year, Aminé has stayed busy in 2024 between his remix of Charli xcx’s “360” that he shared this summer and the inaugural edition of his hometown festival The Best Day Ever that featured performances by KAYTRANADA, Toro y Moi, Ravyn Lenae, BADBADNOTGOOD, Karrahbooo and more. 9. Masio Gunz & Honey Bxby – Sex Potion

Source:Masio Gunz

East New York, BK rapper Masio Gunz teams up with Jersey singer Honey Bxby for his steamy new single, “Sex Potion.”  This single drops before his highly anticipated album, Masey Baby, dropping on December 6, 2024.

Masio says, “I wanted to push the envelope on the rising popular subgenre known as ‘sexy drill.’ Instead of copying and pasting the sound, I wanted to craft my own take by using influences from early R&B music (Keith Sweat, Silk, etc.) to create a sound that is contemporary but truly sexy to the point that it puts listeners under a spell. The lyrics are meant to be shockingly sensual with Honey Bxby adding a female’s perspective to complete the song and transform it into a ‘bedroom duet.’”

Masey Baby also includes the previous singles “Panic” feat. Jeremih, “1 For Me,” and features production by Hitmaka, MusicMajorX, Rockboy Beats, Razor, Big Len and more.

14. Cymande ft. Celeste – Only One Way

Source:CymandeOfficial

Today, legendary British band Cymande release their stunning new track “Only One Way” featuring highly acclaimed British singer/songwriter Celeste – listen HERE. This is the second offering from the band’s eagerly anticipated studio album, Renascence, set for release January 31, 2025 via BMG. Pre-order HERE

“Only One Way,” out today, is an uplifting and beautiful song laced with a delicate piano melody and a lush string arrangement, which gorgeously showcases Celeste’s unique and soulful voice.

One of Cymande’s founding members, Patrick Patterson commented on the collaboration: “We got together in New York some time ago. Celeste approached it melodically and lyrically from a perspective we thought was great, we came back to the UK and perfected it. Her performance is wonderful. It deserved an orchestral arrangement and we had an arranger, Chris Cameron, who could elevate it up to the firmament. He did a brilliant arrangement.”

Speaking on the process of making the track, Celeste says: “It was a blustery New York day, I had just performed at Carnegie Hall, and was asked if I’d like to meet Cymande at a studio close by to Broadway. I immediately put my hat and coat on and made my way to meet Patrick and Steve at the studio. We spoke for a little while about all being Caribbean and then Patrick began to play the guitar, the words and the melody came so naturally and we cut a vocal that day. We then met some months later to refine it all, in one of the first studios I’d been too many years before on Latimer Road, I think still partly owned by Damon Albarn, but now part of the Miloco studios. That’s when I met Adrian Reid, who made me feel so at ease and kindly offered me some piano lessons in the following months. It all felt a healing and enlightening experience to be around the guys, to hear their stories, see their faces and understand who they were and who they are now. Cymande had remained this great mystery to me, as I am sure they did to many others for a long period of time – these legends of this mystical cross genre – and to hear their account of their journey in music first hand, was affirming and assuring.”

Tonight, Cymande will also be honored with the ‘Originator Award’ at the Artist & Manager Awards. The prestigious ceremony celebrates exceptional individuals who pioneer and forge new pathways in the music industry. 2024 continues to mark a monumental year for Cymande, with the earlier release of their incredible documentary Getting It Back: The Story Of Cymande (directed by award winning director Tim Mackenzie-Smith). The band also recently made their UK TV debut on Later… With Jools Holland, performing their new single “Chasing An Empty Dream” and their classic song “Bra.” Catch up on BBC Two’s Later…With Jools Holland HERE. Cymande will also embark on a U.S. headline tour, hitting major markets like New York and Los Angeles in February 2025 – full dates and info below.

Cymande’s new album Renascence, set for release January 31, 2025, is a true return to form and jewel in the crown of their iconic discography. Renascence picks up where their 1974 album Promised Heights left off – a spiritual and sonic follow-up, bringing a fresh modern edge to their iconic sound, which remains foundational to early hip-hop and funk scenes in the United States and UK. Renascence tells the story of a band that never fully got its due back in the day, but are back to take the crown by remaining true to themselves – politically aware, and spiritually positive with infectious grooves.

Renascence will be available to stream, download, on CD and on black vinyl at all major retailers.  A limited edition transparent coral vinyl edition will be made available on the band’s official online store and at select indie retail accounts.

15. Freddie Dredd – Cease & Disintegrate

Source:Freddie Dredd

Freddie Dredd — an ascendant force who’s racked up RIAA Platinum and Gold certifications with an “off-the-wall and enigmatic” (Earmilk) concoction of bass-boosted horrorcore, skinned-knee trap rave-ups, and wildly eclectic sample flips — returns with Cease & Disintegratea new mixtape out now via RCA Records.

Canadian rapper and producer Freddie Dredd has built a burgeoning cult following with tracks that peddle in icy brutality, subsonic impact, red-lining 808s, and Freddie’s versatile sense of rhythmic pocket, as adept at embodying the lurching menace of “GTG” as he is injecting venom into the breezy bossa nova swing of his breakthrough single “Cha Cha.”

To his fans, he’s a figure who can synthesize disparate rap scenes and legacies — the skeletal and macabre horrorcore of Three 6 Mafia, the heavy swagger of nu-metal icons Korn, the raging South Florida psychedelia that swept Soundcloud in the late 2010s — into a concise, visceral, and unorthodox shape. Following a 2024 that saw Freddie score a platinum hit with “Limbo” and tour US arenas with $uicideboy$, he returns reinvigorated and hungry on Cease & Disintegrate — a project that precludes what is sure to be a massive 2025 for Freddie Dredd.

At a runtime of 15 minutes, Cease & Disintegrate hits with the disorienting immediacy of a glass bottle shattering against your skull. Produced by his friend and collaborator Calder, album opener “Useless” is a collage of sirens, dial-up screeches, and distorted industrial bass lines, while “Pursuit” and “You Ain’t,” with their fist-fight slap-bass grooves and squiggly jump-scare synthesizer stabs, hit like zombified New Jack Swing. Throughout, Freddie imbues fresh sound-worlds with his cocksure cadence and morbid fascinations, from cloud rap reimaginings (“Die Without A Fight”) to abstract soul exhalations (“Nothing Into Something”).

Following Cease & Disintegrate, Freddie Dredd will kick off 2025 by hitting the road with Pouya for the THEY COULD NEVER MAKE ME TOUR.

Earlier this year, Freddie shared “DREDD: The Beginning,” a behind-the-scenes documentary that served as both a travelog providing insight into Freddie’s Inaugural tour and an intimate portrait of Freddie’s idiosyncratic rise, featuring interviews with Freddie’s closest friends. “DREDD: The Beginning” has been viewed by over 100k fans on YouTube and is currently making its way to all streaming platforms.

By taking an undeniably iconic beat and working directly with Clean Bandit, Leo has preserved what made the track resonate when it was released in 2014, providing a new perspective for his listeners. Leo says of the track: “This single came about with the idea of bringing back a classic evergreen in a modernised way. My whole idea was to exercise my creativity without doing anything that feels like an injustice to the song.”

“2s N 3s” follows the Kerchak featuring “Jimi Hendrix” which was accompanied by an Olympic Paris filmed visual. Earlier this month, Leo took the stage for his first ever sold-out headline show at The Camden Assembly, where he wowed fans and brought out ArrDee and Tion Wayne. It’s self-assured and winking in its wordplay and refreshing in its syncopated, metallic production. In the course of two minutes, Leo seamlessly flies through an entire catalogue of flows. “Pink Lemonade” was the unsuspecting freestyle that became his most inescapably viral hit yet, dominating social media for the entire summer and leapfrogging him into a truly global breakthrough.

Boasting millions of monthly listeners on Spotify, 2M+ Tik Tok video creations, 35M likes on Tik Tok and over 60M streams on Spotify alone, in only a year, Leo has crashed onto the scene in a spectacular fashion. In September, Leo shared a plethora of new work: “Cardi” with rising star 163Margs, “Demure” with Brighton rap Titan ArrDee and freestyle “Lost in Sardinia” – Leo is proving that one of his greatest strengths is his work ethic.

34. Finesse2Tymes – Art Of War

Source:Finesse2tymes

Creating buzz with his unfiltered attitude and out-of-pocket bars,Finesse2Tymes is one of the rap game’s most colorful characters. Capping off a successful year, the Memphis rapper shares Art of War, his new album. The 17-track project finds Finesse embodying the themes of the influential Chinese text it’s named after, strategically planning his rise to the top of the rap game and highlighting his ability to win without even fighting.

Finesse sets the tone for the project on opener “They Won The Battle,” feeling unapolgetic about his brutal honesty and crowning himself the “Prince of Memphis.” He keeps the unfiltered energy high on “Duckin No Action,” ready for anything that comes his way whether it’s beautiful women or the opps. Always keeping it real, Finesse gets reflective on “No Love,” recognizing the ups and downs that come with fame: “I used to laugh and kick it with n****s, now I don’t even wanna play / Baby momma leechin’, family wanna meet me / Where was you when I needed you / Ain’t gonna lie, I been needin’ you.” As the project continues, Finesse leans heavily into soulful samples on tracks like “Fallin” and “Pretty Ricky,” showing off his version of romance and how he’ll treat his girl. With the project coming to a close, Finesse shares the lessons he’s learned over the years on tracks like “Jail Talk” and “Loyalty, Respect & Business.”

While Finesse’s solo tracks on Art of War are standout, the project’s features take the energy even higher. On “Miami With The Heat,” Finesse teams up with Florida boys Kodak Black and Luh Tyler, where the trio get deep in their bag: “Drop a hundred on my piece / You can look but don’t touch me / Take over n****s cities, send ’em a cease and desist,” spits Kodak. Rob49 and GloRilla join Finesse on the upbeat “Show Dat Work,” a previously released highlight track. On “Knowledge Is Power,” Finesse taps Lil Tjay, who brings his signature Bronx flow to emphasize the importance of standing on business: “They hatin’, I’m poppin’ everybody h*es / Best in my city, everyobdy know / What you gon’ do when a n***a like me too fleek.” With additional features from DaBaby, NLE Choppa, and Hunxho, Art of War is available everywhere via Mob Ties / Bread Gang / Atlantic Records.

The road to Art of War began earlier this year with popular singles like “Down Bad” and “Very Demure” ft. NLE Choppa. Born and raised on the East Side of Memphis, most of Finesse’s young adulthood was surrounded by the walls of a prison cell. His first prison stint happened at 14 and he was in and out of prison until his most recent release. At 21, he started formally making music, forming a collective called Memphis Greatest Underrated with several local artists including Blac Youngsta and Moneybagg Yo. The crew released a self-titled EP in 2019 while Finesse was serving his final stint in prison as the group disbanded. While away, Finesse perfected his craft, writing rhymes and plotting his next moves to ensure this prison sentence will be his last. He found a way to keep track of the major players in the industry who followed his music. Among them was Mob Ties Founder and CEO J Prince Jr., son of legendary Rap-A-Lot kingpin J. Prince, who later signed him. At the top of July 2022, Finesse left prison and boarded a private jet bound for Houston. The start of his new life had finally begun.

He dropped the menacing “Get Even” within the first week of his release later chasing it with “Back End,” showcasing a more sophisticated style that still harbored his gruff delivery. The single later went on to earn him his first career entry on the Billboard Hot 100 and first RIAA-certified gold record. He even mended fences with Moneybagg Yo, surprising fans everywhere with their collaborative “Black Visa” track and informally inaugurating his signing with Bagg’s Breadgang. Finesse released his debut mixtape 90 Days in December 2022 representing his pivotal first 90 days post prison release. He later returned with the deluxe, 90 Days Later.

With Art of War out now, Finesse2Tymes is ready to secure his place in rap stardom. Stay tuned for much more from him soon.

35. Jamie Fine – Like I Do

Source:Jamie Fine

LIKE I DO” is the first single release from JAMIE FINE’s anticipated project. The project will be released early in 2025. “LIKE I DO” was written by Jamie Fine, Jordan Lutes, Keith Sorrells and Oscar Linnander and produced by Keith Sorrells and Oscar Linnander. In “LIKE I DO,” the Ottawa-born singer-songwriter celebrates her unique quirks, offering listeners a heartfelt glimpse into the complexities of love and self-acceptance. Fine acknowledges that she can be a handful to love but trusts that, beneath it all, her big heart shines through. Right from the opening line, she pulls us in with an honest admission about her ADHD, sharing the unique challenges it brings to relationships—from dominating conversations to needing reassurance. She knows it’s a lot to handle, but her promise remains steadfast: “No one will love you like I do.”

Jamie Fine has always been refreshingly real. It’s her openness—her willingness to share her authentic self—that has endeared her to millions as a relatable, down-to-earth voice in pop today. And if her words don’t convince us, the song’s sound surely will. Fine’s voice is tender yet powerful, as she lays it all bare over a simple acoustic guitar. Then, out of nowhere—BAM! The track transforms into a full-on banger, putting it up there with her recent hits like “If Anything’s Left” (which soared to #8 on the Canadian CHR chart in 2023 and went platinum) and “You’re Like” (which climbed to #7).

Since going solo in 2020, Fine has cemented her place as a cultural force, with her 2022, EP “eight gardengate” showcasing her big-hearted, self-reflective nature. She’s been nominated for four JUNO Awards, with her music streamed over 100 million times worldwide by nearly 1.5 million fans who love her authenticity.

In 2025, Fine will be back on stage, bringing her music to fans in person. With guitarist Matthieu St. Jules and drummer Darius Martin joining her, she’ll play key dates across the United States and Canada, with additional shows planned for South Africa in April and May, where “If Anything’s Left” became an unexpected double-platinum success.

I guess I’m that forbidden fruit from Eden huh / then you go back to acting like a diva huh,” Karri sings. The song’s official release delivers on the hype generated from a tease snippet on TikTok just days earlier.

39. Omar Apollo, Trent Reznor & Atticus Ross – Te Maldigo (From “Queer”)

Source:Omar Apollo

Following the red carpet premiere of Luca Guadagnino’s Queer (A24) last week in Los Angeles and ahead of its theatrical release on November 27nd, Omar Apollo is releasing “Te Maldigo.” The song was written for the film and is accompanied by a music video directed by Guadagnino, where Omar can be seen in character performing the song.

Produced by Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross, who composed the score for the film, “Te Maldigo” is Omar’s first song entirely in Spanish since 2022’s “En El Olvido.” Stunning in a custom suit created by LOEWE creative director and Queer costume designer Jonathan Anderson, Omar croons the tender ballad into a retro microphone fitting of the film’s 1950s Mexico City setting. Based on William S. Burrough’s novella of the same title, Queer stars Daniel Craig, Drew Starkey, Jason Schwartzman, and Omar Apollo. After debuting at the Venice Biennial, where it received a 9-minute standing ovation, A24 acquired the film, which is one of the fall’s most highly-anticipated releases.

“Te Maldigo” serves as the first single from Omar following the release of his critically acclaimed sophomore album God Said No this past May. The album was conceived after the whirlwind commercial and critical success of his Grammy-nominated debut album Ivory and later, the nonstop touring that followed both on his own headline tour, support on SZA’s SOS arena tour, and Billie Eilish’s Latin American stadium tour.

Ahead of the album’s release, Omar made a splash with his Met Gala debut in a custom suit from wearing a custom suit by LOEWE that earned him Best Dressed nods from The Cut, Vogue, and WWD, among others. Later that summer, the artist went on to launch his God Said No tour, which saw him perform in Australia, India, and Japan before kicking off the North American leg in his home state of Indianapolis. This past weekend, Omar returned to Camp Flog Gnaw in Los Angeles for an epic sunset performance.

Listen/watch “Te Maldigo” above and check out Queer coming to a theater near you on November 27th.

40. Kenny Muney – I Ain’t Roddy

Source:Kenny Muney

Bringing the heat no matter the season, Kenny Muney is well on his way to the top of the Memphis rap game. Today, the Paper Route Empire rapper announces The Blue $easons Super Deluxe, out 12/6 via Paper Route Empire. An extended version of his acclaimed project The Blue $easons, the Deluxe version promises to bring even more blazing street anthems to keep the temperature high this winter. Along with the announcement, Kenny shares, “I Ain’t Roddy,” a new single that will appear on the forthcoming project. Produced by PRE’s own Bandplay, the track is a sizzling southern slapper, finding Kenny staying true to his money-making ambitions: “Imma get this money, I ain’t goin’ broke, that ain’t never been the plan / Yeah, I been hustlin’, I’ve been gettin’ money, yeah I been rich / I’m countin’ money, Yeah, I’m blue money, Pockets on crip.”

Earlier this year, Kenny Muney shared his album The Blue $easons. The new project finds Kenny Muney showing all sides of himself: He rhymes with his signature smirk on hustle hard anthems like “Breezy” and “Paper Route,” his new collaboration with close friend Key Glock, but takes time to show his more sensitive side on songs like the romantic “Hate It There” and the reflective “Ion Feel That $hit.” The South Memphis native delivers the mission statement for the project on the Bandplay-produced opener “My $eason“: “I might just change my climate, change my mood, I’m tryna capture somethin’.” Featuring additional appearances from CEO Jizzle and BEO Lil Kenny, The Blue $easons streams everywhere via Paper Route Empire.

The Blue $easons is the latest step in Kenny Muney’s mission to take over the game and live up to the legacy of his late mentor Young Dolph. Last year, Kenny shared Blue Muney (Deluxe), home to fiery singles like the guitar-driven “Top,” the soulful intro “Muney Prayer,” and the Hitkidd-produced “In A Rush,” and guest appearances from Key Glock, Money Man, and more.

Kenny Muney shows that he has the talent and determination to succeed in the Empire-building business. Stay tuned for more from Kenny Muney and Paper Route Empire this summer.

41. 1nonly – Vicodin

Source:1nonly

Today, rising Las Vegas rapper-producer 1nonly releases his new single entitled “VICODIN.” Listen HERE and watch HERE via Warner Records.

The track’s bassline bumps beneath a glitchy beat, while a loose guitar loop wails in the background. 1nonly’s insidiously bouncy delivery barely breaks a whisper as he takes stock of his come-up, “Everything I want I got it, had to step into the finer things, had to get from the rougher times to breakin’ the bread with all my kin.” Meanwhile, a sample from The Good, The Bad & The Ugly seamlessly speaks to the mood, “You’re alone, huh? Like me Blondie.” As always, he straddles the line between dark imagery and effusively catchy genre-busting songcraft.

The track is the first single from 1nonly, following the boundary-pushing tracks “WHAT YOU WANT” and “Falling.” It was preceded by the moody number “Scars,” as well as “POPTHATRUNK” featuring Freddie Dredd, and “GHOSTKILLA” featuring Jasiah. Those songs followed on the heels of the Homesick EP’s release late last year, which included the singles “Mine” and “Step Back!” alongside New Zealand rapper-producer SXMPRA as well as “Leave,” a swaggering track that utilizes both a powerful hip-hop bass with frenetic electronic beats.

Sidestepping convention in favor of dynamic, genre-defying music has always set 1nonly apart from the pack. Get another dose of 1nonly with “VICODIN” now.

42. Wesko – Hopeless Son

Source:Wesko

Today, rising North Carolina based singer-songwriter Wesko shares an emotionally charged new single entitled “Hopeless Son” out now via Warner Records – listen HERE.

“‘Hopeless Son’ is yet another one of my favorite releases to date. I dug as deep as I could into my own feelings about being from a small town and how, although a blessing, it can also feel like a prison. Describing how it feels to sit in one place, breaking your back working a job you can’t stand but can’t afford to quit; ‘Hopeless Son’ is the quintessential blue collar blues song,” says Wesko.

On the track, he exhales raw feeling over echoes of dusty acoustic guitar. Wesko’s vivid storytelling proves instantly arresting as he muses, “I’ve been spinning my wheels on unsteady ground, I wonder how far I’ll go.” He details the day-to-day struggle of a dead-end nine-to-five and an existence marred by lack of opportunities and a limited future. Releasing a deluge of emotion, the confessional chorus hits especially hard, “Believe when I say, I’m out of control, I’m losing my mind, I’m waiting on you to tell me I’m right.”

Recently, he unveiled “Helene (The Carolina Taping).” Reflecting the pain of the region in the wake of Hurricane Helene, he pledged a donation of 50% of all proceeds generated by the song to the North Carolina Community Foundation Disaster Release Fund. Listen to “Helene” HERE and learn more about the NCCF and donate HERE.

After hearing “Helene,” country superstar Luke Combs personally invited Wesko to perform at the Bank of America Stadium in Charlotte, NC as part of the Concert for Carolina. Taking the stage, Combs introduced him, and he captivated a capacity crowd 82,000 with a heart-wrenching rendition of the song. He notably joined a powerhouse bill with Eric Church, The Avett Brothers, Scotty McCreery, Sheryl Crow, and Keith Urban. The event raised over $24 million for Hurricane Helene relief.

Music Mayhem Magazine chronicled his participation in the show and proclaimed, “If you have yet to hear Wesko’s top-notch tunes, he is the next big country artist with an even bigger heart.” Mount Olive Tribune raved, “It was one musician, in particular, who succeeded in capturing the essence of what the evening was all about — and that musician was Duplin County’s own Wesko.”

Hailing from Kenansville, NC, Wesko has quietly emerged as a country maverick with a knack for “real cowboy tunes,” as he calls ‘em. Inspired by everyone from Neil Young and Eric Church to My Chemical Romance and Green Day, he has architected a raw and real style of his own. No stranger to hard work, he has impressively balanced a full schedule at University of Mount Olive with an intense full-time job as a foreman for an erosion control company—all the while gaining traction on songs such as “Burning House” and “No Surprise.” He also notably attracted an audience one fan-at-a-time, gaining traction locally and magnifying his imprint on social media. Inking a deal with underscore works recordings / Warner Records in 2024, Wesko holds nothing back on his debut Lost Boys EP with more to come.

Skilla Baby comes in hot on opener “Donovan Mcnabb.” After an intro calls out haters for falsely claiming “Skilla ain’t in the streets, Skilla only makes girl music,” he makes it clear that he’s out for blood and money: “AYE! A hundred thousand every week, I’m in my bag / Richer then I ever f—-g been, that’s probably why they mad.” His voice is raw, the production is booming, and his lines hit with hard punchlines and heavy truths.

46. Ivory Scott – Cheese

Source:Ivory Scott

Chicago’s own Ivory Scott is still keeping it real with his latest single, “Cheese,” via MNRK Music Group. Fresh off the buzz from his single “What You Like,” Ivory is dropping another gem that dives into the real-life challenges of trust, love, and all the drama that comes with it – no sugar-coating, just straight talk.

In “Cheese,” Ivory gets honest about trying to find authenticity in a world full of mixed signals. With lyrics like “Everybody need somebody that ain’t just a body; If you is the one promise baby Jesus I’ll stop entertaining motion; Hard to have emotion; Hard to give devotion,” he highlights the struggle of finding someone who’s in it for the right reasons. It’s a relatable vibe, capturing that internal tug-of-war between wanting to believe in love and fearing the risks that come with it. Ivory’s laid-back flow over a smooth track creates a groove that’s raw, soulful, and undeniably catchy.
