Alabama A&M wide receiver Duke Miller has announced that he will miss the remainder of the season due to an undisclosed injury.
‘This decision comes as a result of an ongoing injury, and I believe that it is in the best interest of my long-term health and athletic future to use the remainder of the season to get back to 100%,’ says Miller in a statement to Twitter.
Miller transferred to Alabama A&M this past offseason after previous stints at East Mississippi Community College, the University of New Mexico, and Jackson State.
Through three games, the Jackson State transfer posted 16 receptions for 266 yards (second in SWAC, averaging 88.7 receiving yards per game) and two touchdowns.
He had a career-best performance against Kentucky State, finishing with eight receptions for 132 yards and two touchdowns.
Alabama A&M returns to the football field this weekend after its game against Florida A&M was rescheduled due to weather concerns.
They will travel to Mobile, Alabama, to face Miller’s former team, Jackson State, in the Gulf Coast Challenge.
